Custom Shop 30-06

Post by older than you +1 »

Am trying to assist the manager of a local gun shop with getting information on a 30-06 that was made in the Remington Custom Shop. I do not see any barrel codes and the Serial number is A6366462. From previous post, I learned that if a gun was made specifically for someone that it most likely would not have a barrel code. This 30-06 has a semi-heavy barrel but not a bull barrel.

From reading other post which had a similar serial number, it appears to have been made sometime in the late 70's.

Anyone have any ideas on learning more about this rifle?

Looks to be late late 1976. As a general rule, Custom Shop guns are not date stamped.

Thanks for your response. Do you have a copy of John Lacy's book. If so, would you recommend it to others?
