Need help aging a 721 bolt rifle

I have a very early Remington model 721 bolt rifle in 30-06 caliber and was hoping for some information to try to date it as close as possible. The serial number is 20520 and is located on the inside of the action. The left side code is E SS. I believe it to be from 1947 or earlier Thanks

Holy crap. You've got an early one there! Dates to October of 1947. Is 700 older than the oldest John Lacy states that he has seen.
