According to Gyde's and Marcot's excellent book "Remington .22 Rimfire Rifles", serials from 48937 to 104041 were made in 1911....tom

I have my dad's Sportmaster 341 bolt action 22LR. I asked Remington for info. Based on the Ser No they told me it was manufactured in 1938 which means that it would have been my dads 20th birthday present. Check with Remington to get a good year of manufacture. THat may be all you can get.

I have a Model 12 pump with the Octogon barrel, it was the gun my grandfather taught me to shoot with the serial number is 745967. I have been trying to find out when it was manufactured. Any help?

745967 was made in 1928. A "C" grade, with the octagon barrel, was called a "target" grade. 31697 guns were made in 1928. This information I am giving all comes from the book on Remington rimfires by Gyde & Marcot. Tom
