Model 33 Identification Help

Post by MatthewGlenHill »

Hello, my grandfather recently passed away and I inherited a Model 33 from him. I am trying to find any information I can on the firearm. It is simply a Model 33, the barrel states Patent Pending along with the Made in the USA and Remington Arms Co Inc ILION NY. On the left side of the barrel is reads OB with a delta with a line or maybe it is supposed to be an arrow. On the right side there is an upside down 62.

If I understand correctly, it was manufactured in July 1933. I do not know what the arrow/delta means or what the upside 62 means.

I have attached pictures of it. I have also heard there are different types of the Model 33. It has hand groves on the stock so from what I have read it is maybe a type II?

Thanks in advance I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
