25 Remington pump

Post by Manrock »

I finally got around to my grandfathers 25 pump. I am guessing it is over 60 years since its been fired. It was stored well and oiled up so was easy to clean and get ready to try. Finding shells was another matter. But ended up getting some made from some 3030 brass. Shoots great. My question is its age. Maybe it's pre 1921 because it doesn't seem tohave any left side barrel marks other than pat dates. Made is USA etc. right side is only proof mark. Left side has model 14 113152. Thx in advance

113152 is in the range of model 14s generally made in 1928. It has to have a build code. Could it be more towards the bottom of the barrel and thus hidden by the action bar?

I will take another good look. Never noticed but there is some where from the slide so maybe it's faint.
