Although I could have bought a Ruger for $200 and the Remington cost $379, I'm very pleased that I spent the extra money. I tried three different brands of ammo and all worked flawlessly. It's also a hair heavier [ I think ] than the S&W Bodyguard I just sold, I think it helps with the recoil. The thing I didn't like with the other two was when pulling the trigger with my big fat finger, it wanted to slide up in a gap created in the frame just in front of the trigger. The Remington has something different about it to alleviate this problem.I thought with such a long trigger pull it would bother me, but it didn't. Also, the extended mag didn't help with my large hands, I still just used two fingers on the grip and the pinky under it. Kind of like the way I shot the Remington New Army six shooters at the NMLRA range. The slide also works fairly easy and stays back on the last shot. All in all, I think they have hit, although a bit more money than the competition.
