Model 12C Date of Manufacture

I have inherited my grandfather's 12C serial # 236xxx, can anyone tell me the date it was manufactured, please? It still shoots true despite its age so I'm planning on hunting with it this coming hunting season. :D Thanks!

Accordiong to the research compiled in "REMINGTON .22 Rimfire Rifles"
by John Gydé and Roy Marcot, your rifle would have been manufactured in 1913. In that year, Remington produced 71,805 Model 12 rifles in total, with the final serial number being 238343.

Thanks, Mike! It's hard to believe that a 100 year old rifle can shoot that good! They don't make 'em like they used to!
