Need help identifying old .22 pump it's not a model 12

There are no numbers on the barrel or reciever. Only on the butt plate. Has the same type action as the 1906 winchester.

What writing does it have on it anyplace at all?
I've seen other manufactures with Remington barrels on them.
I don't see how this is going to be identified without a photo or two :D

Here is a few pics. I am totally baffled. The only thing i know about it is that i got it from my grandmother and she got it from her grandmother. I was thinking maybe it was two guns put together but if it is they did a good job cause it all looks like it fits together right.

It seems like it should be older than a model 12 but it has the umc on it so I am confuzed. It has a selector for "S" "L" and "LR" but you can only access it by taking the stock off. The remington UMC is on the stock/trigger guard the only marking on the reciever/ barrel are an "s" on the reciever end and a single dot stamped in the other end.

I know I've absolutely seen this receiver / Firing mechanism before. I need to stir the brain on this one.

And one more of the selector. the way the gun is currently put together you have to disassemble it to work the selector. I'm really curiouse as to what this barrel and action are. :?
