Cleaning out my father house i came across a Remington scoremaster m511. Don't have a clue were it came from, he hunted squirrel with a Marlin lever action. It is a nice little gun, thought i would fix it up for my grandaughter to hunt with.
What i am after is: I am tring to find out if it matters when it was manufactured when buying parts?
I have been looking on line and everyone talks about the manufacture date is in a alfa code on the barrel. This gun does not have a alfa code. The only thing on the gun, other than the remington logo and scoremaster logo, is the number 7521 on the under side of the barrel just above the frame
Model 511 Scoremaster
Re: Model 511 Scoremaster
The parts are the same for the most part. Bolts-triggers' safety's and parts (except the 510 safety) swap between models . The feed system parts are different(510-512) The date code should be on the left side if the barrel just in front of the receiver. There is a date code key in the forum.
