Hey all,
First post ever on this board and very happy to be here .
I'm in need of manufacture dates on my New Model Army, serial number is 140572. It also has "R" and a "P" mark on the cylinder, left side on the barrel "R" and a upside down "P" on the right side of the barrel.
Also, a very faint cartouche remains on the left stock.
I bought it as a "shooter". No nice bluing, pitting on the outside and technical in very good condition. For me the perfect gun to shoot with.
This week I'm going tot try it out for the first time after a very good inspection and cleaning. Starting load 15 gr. BP and .454 balls (maybe later .457).
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers,
Nils
