Hey Guys, I am trying to identify this little guy.
I think it is a 95 type II. Approx mfg 1888-1910, Ser # 764 (I don't think it means much). 41 cal. I will try and post the pics. I know it has some problems, the barrels have been cut down 3/4" and someone has changed out the grips, and no I am not going to try and shoot it, but it is tight.
I just need to catalog it and give it an approximate value. I would like to know if it is in the Blue Book Of Gun Values and I just can't find it. I have looked up over 300 guns in the book. I thought I was getting pretty good at it.
Ok, I can't download pics.
On the top it has Remington Arms Co Ilion NY. It has the checkered hammerend.
Any help and comments are welcomed.

Hi,
I think you will find your derringer listed in the Blue Book under “ELLIOT’S O/U DERRINGER, REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY PRODUCTION 1889 – 1910.” In my 31st edition it is on page 1439.

Well the way the Blue Book and most collectors classify Model 95's are different.
There's also many variations on the one you describe with only the "Short line" being a serial the rest are batch no's.
