I would like to find a couple of early 700 rifles. These rifles would have the BDL style "impressed checkering" The .270 Win., and 30-06 are on the list. I am not looking for collector grade guns.

Yes,I have picked-up a couple. A 30/06 with a 3xx,xxx digit ser. #, and a 7MM Mag in the 6,xxx,xxx range. The 7 has the 2nd generation style of rolled checkering, not my favorite
