Re: Identification .22 takedown rife

No doubt in my mind this is a Remington number 4 takedown. Pretty sure you will see a lever on the right side to remove the barrel. Late models had a large head screw. Don't know the caliber of your gun but you should find a number stamped underneath the barrel just forward of the hand guard. These ...

Deleting a for sale item

How do I delete a for sale item that has been sold? Must be getting old--can't figure out how to delete it. Thanks

Re: 1900 BARREL IDENTIFICATION

From that stamping, your Model 1900 is a "K" grade. It would be steel barrels and extractors only. If that G of the KG might be an E, then it is a "KE" grade, steel barrels and automatic ejectors. If by chance the stamp might be KD, then it is Damascus barrels and extractors only...

Re: 1894 in 16gauge

Of the various 1894 and 1900 16 gauge I have checked, there is no doubt in my mind that the chambers are 2 9/16 inch. If the gun was factory chambered for 2 3/4" it would be stamped underneath the barrels just forward of the flats. As we see with 12 gauge.

Re: 1889 information

The only thing I can tell you it is a Model 1889. Your gun left the factory in 1897. Other than that, there were 134,200 Model 1889 hammer guns produced from 1889 to 1908, in 7 grades. Grade 4 and above were engraved. And there are no records from Remington.

Re: Remmington Shotgun, what is it?

Sorry, I didn't check your request thoroughly. You do not have the barrels. Finding a stock and barrels that will fit are almost impossible. There are a couple collectors out there that hopefully will read your message, one of them may be able to help.

Re: Remmington Shotgun, what is it?

You have a Remington Model 1894. From the serial number, the gun left the factory in 1903. From you photo of the forend, the gun has automatic ejectors. It is a grade AE.
What kind of barrels, steel or Damascus? And what gauge is it? Obviously the stock has been sanded and a recoil pad added.

Re: Shotgun

There are no records of these older doubles but, you have a Remington Arms Co. Model 1889 and from what you write I would guess it to be decarbonized steel barrels. That would make it a grade 1. There were 7 grades of this model produced from 1889 the 1910. Grade 1 being the lowest and sold for $40....

Re: Need Help Dating a 32W Roller

There are no definitive dating records on the Rollers. I have a 32W with a serial of 37737 (that's 350 guns earlier than yours) and those in the know date it 1906 to 1908. So your's probably would fall in the same year bracket. My bore is a little rough (wish it were better) but she shoots pretty ac...

Re: 1882? side by side

What you have is an E. Remington & Sons, Model 1882, Grade 5. I assume 12 gauge. And also imagine you do not have the forend. Correct engraved 1882 hammers alone could cost $200.00 a pair in the condition of the gun. Value is hard to call as in my opinion we are looking at a possible parts gun.

You are going to have to give us more info. Is it a hammer gun or hammerless. What other markings are on the shotgun.

Re: Remington model 1894 help

I would have to agree with researcher regards 20 gauge. Those numbers 290-168 are factory targeted pellet counts which pretty much indicates cylinder and modified. They also indicate 16 gauge counts are there are a number of 16's recorded (example; 277-274, 298-296, 293-302). If your's is a true 20 ...

Re: New guy with questions

You shotgun is a Model 1900. They were produced from 1900 to 1910. By that serial number your's left the factory in 1901. The numbers 4809 and 4639 are assemble numbers, you might find these on other areas. With Damascus barrels the gun grade would be either KD or KED. You might find that stamped on...
