PS-Your Rolling Block is a #1, not a #1 1/2. The #1 has that stepped side on the receiver, where a #1 1/2 is a flat side receiver with no step. Your pictures show a #1 Mid-Range or Short-Range rifle.

I own three #1 1/2 Rolling Blocks; two in CF, and one .22RF, and none have any spring on the extractor? Are you sure yours hasn't been modified by a gunsmith?

The 1 1/2 first appeared in advertisements around 1885, not long before bankruptcy.
