I've never seen a 30-SM with the Marbles Goss sight, does anyone here have one? Adding 30SR, 30SL, 30SX, and 30SM for searches. Pictures of ...

40X 7mm-08 sporter?
I have a 40-x with a barrel code KQ and SN 063111 B. Barrel is light weight sporter rather than heavy target. Stock is HS Precision. Does that SN match the time range of the barrel? Any way to tell if it's an original configuration?

Hornady Custom Lite rifle ammunition for 7mm Remington Magnum
I recently acquired a Remington 700 in 7mm Remington Magnum built in the Remington Custom Shop in 1994, complete with original paperwork and never fired. I was looking for information on reduced loads for 7mm Mag, and found that Hornady offers Custom Lite ammunition in 7mm Mag and other calibers. I ...

Model 700 Date / Info
I recently received a Model 700 in 7mm Rem Mag from my Father-In-Law, and am trying to date it. All the dating schemes I've seen point out a two character date code on the barrel. This rifle has a four character code on the left side of the barrel: "D A", followed by an "N G" which are not quite in ...

Re: M700 Lawsuits?
I know it is an old thread, but after 44 years I actually had a REAL problem with my 700 in 7mm Express. Now that I am older I don't burn up the ammo like I used to so most of my large caliber rifles sit in the cabinet for 10 months out of the year. I was set on my rounds after my handload session ...

I ordered one of these 7mm Express BDL 700's in 1980 or I should say my Dad ordered it and I paid for it with money I earned bailing hay at $1/hr. I ... the magazines that said '&mm Express. It bridges the gap between the 30-06 and the 7mm mag. The only thing about the gun that disappointed me was ...

Re: Remington Rolling Block in 7mm
Thanks for your response Mr. Farley! Very interesting information on the history of this RB in 7mm.
On a side note, have you ever striped the RB down for a thorough cleaning? Any issues I should be aware of in taking this old RB apart and putting back together? Or, should I just leave as is?
Thanks

Re: Remington Rolling Block in 7mm
Hi. I have two of these RB's in 7mm, both 1901, and neither has a serial #. I don't think they were serialized but I really haven't spent much time researching it. From what I did find it seems Remington screwed up making these and had bookoo unsold to the military market and they were sold as forager ...

I know this is an old topic, but on an off chance THBailey do you have pictures of the extractor from the RB you have?

Model 700 weird serial.number
Just recently purchased a 7mm in a 700. There is no letters preceding the serial number. This is an ADL with a classic stock. The serial number is 6263917. Does anyone know how to figure out what year this gun was made. Secondly I'd like to convert it into a clip gun. I have a couple refinished custom ...

Hi All!
I stumbled upon this Model 700 in 7mm Rem Mag for $300 at a local Cabela's Gun Library. It's a little beat up, but seems to be in fairly good working order, and it was a good enough deal I couldn't pass it up.
