Remington Model 32 Combos
Remington Arms made this Model 32 Trap/Skeet Combo for Clark Gable as noted. The "One Gun" idea has been around a long time, I have looked for a "numbers match" Remington Model 32 Combo for years--I did have a mis-matched pair BUT it wasn't the same as a factory built and numbered pair. I finally ...

Re: 1894 Hollow Rib--Concave Rib?
Well it would seem that target/pigeon shooters were on the "cutting edge" of shotgun accessorizing even in the early days. The raised rib concept on 139072 would be taken to quite the limits on modern trap guns. My modest collection has a mixture of concave (FE, CEO pigeon) Damascus flat rib (CE ...

Re: 1894 Hollow Rib--Concave Rib?
Dave, thank you for the opinion. I am looking at a Remington Model 1894 C grade "Pigeon Gun" listed on auction. Upon receiving more photos I see that it has a flat rib. I am wondering if this barrel is inconsistent with what the Pigeon guns should have, that being the more target oriented "Concave ...

Dave, thank you for the opinion. I am looking at a Remington Model 1984 C grade "Pigeon Gun" listed on auction. Upon receiving more photos I see that it has a flat rib. I am wondering if this barrel is inconsistent with what the Pigeon guns should have, that being the more target oriented "Concave ...

1894 Hollow Rib--Concave Rib?
Charles Semmer wrote in a Double Gun Journal article that all 1894 Remington Pigeon Guns had Hollow Ribs, I have noted that the Pigeon Guns and FE Trap Guns have Concave Ribs, that is dished from side to side. A catalog posted by Researcher featured a CEO Trap Grade Gun, Ordinance Steel and "Concave ...

30" full/full would be my bet?

Re: Remington Model 32 Shotguns
Wow! Thank you Remdog! That is the "Best"!
What if Remington had not yielded to post war economic woes and continued the Model 32 instead of selling to Kreighoff?
The autos and pumps set Remingtons standard as more working class but there may have been room for a premium well made O/U.....

Re: Remington Model 32 Shotguns
Got a "butt ugly" 32? I found a skeet gun that had awful wood-- I found a neglected Kreighoff Model 32 Monte Carlo grade set (50's/60's?) that I rehabbed. Shooter grade not perfect.....

Who engraved my Remington Shotgun?
Remington's graded guns are on par with any of the American makers. I have alway hoped that my "C" graded 1894's or "D" graded pre-11 or Model 10 trap guns were done by the master Joe Loy. What about the "FE" and "B' guns? How many engravers were employed at any time? How would the experience levels ...

Re: Remington Model 1894 Pigeon and Trap Guns
AZMIKE I can't afford to play those games in the ring. LOL Researcher It has 32" barrels and choked Full and Full Mike Alsop RSA RemShots Mike, are your 32" FE/Pigeon barrels Remington or Ordinance steel? I think if it was built as an FE it would have Remington steel barrels but built as a Pigeon ...
