It looks like a regular stamp that broke the surface of the nickel. So I understand if a true nickel the stamp would break the surface , if redone in nickel The coating would have covered it, or is it the other way around .Well it appears stamped thru and all the other writing , serial # etc all app...

PA 24086 serial... nickel model 51 380 acp Remington , inspected by Gunsmith confirms original finish ..,has the anchor on trigger guard ..year, ?rarity , ?value ?and would the factory have done the nickel?...file too big to show picture but it is 95% or better ..,thanks

Thanks for the join,,,picked this 51 up today in 380 , nickel finish, Gunsmith looked at it under magnifying glass confirmed that the finish was original, edges sharp everything very readable ...so did factory do this ? Value of this vs the blue ones? ..approximate value and date of manufacture? ......
