thanks for the reply's. The stock repair is not the best I have seen, but I think I will just leave it the way it is for now.

After posting my original request, I did some more research on this and other sites today. I am pretty sure I have an FE grade 1894. My question now is, will replacing the repaired butt stock lower the value more than not replacing it? The rest of the gun is about 90%.

is this an 1894??
I have had this gun for about 30 years. I have taken it to several gun shows and smiths, but nobody has been able to give any firm info about it. Serial number is P134291. Top of right barrel says "trap gun F grade", top of left barrel says "Remington arms co Ilion ny" It appears...
