my 223 decreased from 1.5" groups down to 1" groups by just floating the barrel, shooting green UMC Walmart ammo. Hand loads shoot .5" on average but have shot great since floating. This is a sporter weight barreled rifle.

Are you talking about the green/black one? I too would be interested in any info you could find.
