Remington 721 bolt question

I am wondering if anyone would have knowledge of why the bolt handle on my 721's jump slightly from the down position when the rifles are fired. Some bolts jump more than others. Is this inherent to this model? Someone told me that accuracy is lost if the rifle doe this. If anyone can comment, I wou...

Subject: 700 series rifle bolt releases. I have a Rem 700 and a Rem 721 that the bolt releases either sick open (released) or you can't release them. I have another addition that I want to share. Model 721 transition model 30-06, barrel code D F, September 1959, ser# 424366, screw on rear sight, brass bead on front ramp. 22 inch barrel. Please add it to your list. Someone has added a Pachmayr whiteline pad.

Rem 725, yes the ser# 409XXX has a 24 inch barrel and a raise rear sight notch on the barrel. The latter two repair dates appear to have an 8 behind the codes or a similar figure. I am not sure what this 8 signifies? The original code has a 12 behind it. The barrel location diagram shows this to be ...

Could Remington have installed rear sights on the 721 magnum rifles other than their own? I have a 300 H&H that has a Marbles buckhorn. Thanks for you reply.
