i also have an m24 short only with the upside down remington on the right side of the barrel.my serial # is 17xxx.
i wonder if they did a whole run of barrels with the remington upside down.

good day all: i also have a 760 rem in .35 rem.mine is a first year production gun (oct 1952). she is completely original and unmolested except for the swivels. and it is my goto gun for bear and moose hunting in northern ontario. its very accurate and smooth. good day all:
i have an early version of the m14 in .30rem.
with the spiral type of mag tube,can i use a spitzer type of bullet?
is that the reason the mag tube is twisted,so that the point of one bullet does not ride on the primer of another.

any info would be greatly appreciated.
