Re: My 1900 with straight grip stock

dieNusse1 Thank you for that reply. I have always thought this shotgun was original factory work. It is too bad it is in such rough shape. If anyone out there has anything to add to this I am all ears. I would really like to hear from anyone out there that has seen another 1900 with an original stra...

My 1900 with straight grip stock

I have posted this on another forum and it has been suggested I post it over here. I purchased this shotgun at a local gun show several years ago and it is the only model 1900 I have ever seen with a straight grip stock. Have anyone on this site seen another one with a straight grip stock. The big q...

Re: Remington Hepburn

Try Buffalo Arms at http://www.buffaloarms.com. Look in reloading supplies under custom expanders. They should have what you are looking for. Also Mike Lewis is in Colorado and is a very good gunsmith. His email address is remhep3 at gmail.com.

Re: Weight of 16 gauge 1894 and 1900

Canvasback I pulled out the 16 GA CEO and it has 28” barrels with a weight of 6 pounds 9.7 ounces. It has a straight stock with a LOP of 13 ¾” to the front trigger. Since I was at the back of the safe I also measured 2 other CEO’s that I have. My 12 GA CEO has 32” barrels with 2 7’8 “ chambers as st...

Re: Weight of 16 gauge 1894 and 1900

I am currently in the market for a 28 GA to shoot sporting clays with and I remembered this 16 GA in my safe. As it has been refinished it has no collector value but is a nice gun. The fact that it has a bulged barrel gives me pause. I already have 2 16 GA shotguns to shoot. Thus my plan to have tub...

Re: Weight of 16 gauge 1894 and 1900

I have a 16GA BE with 27" barrels that weighs 6 pounds 6 Ounces. The barrels touch at the muzzle so I do not think they were cut. Unfortunately the gun was blued sometime before I bought it. It is Damascus with ejectors. It has a pistol grip stock with the original hard rubber Remington butt pl...

Re: Model 722 advice

I have 722 SN 2556X that started out life as a 300 Savage but it had been converted to 308 before I purchased it. The SN is inside the bolt raceway. I have since installed a modern 700 Varmint barrel in 308 on it and a 700 BDL stock and used it to shoot high power silhouette.

Re: WTB: Remington 1894 EE or DE

Rem1894 I just found this thread. The 16 GA EE you mentioned that no longer had its original barrels was in my possession around 30 years or more ago. I received it in a trade with a dealer in Tennessee. During the 3 day inspection I noticed that the barrels had been refinished poorly. If I looked d...
