Re: Remington Rifles Sent To Russia In 1918

Dear Forum Readers, I'm attempting to verify information that a shipment of an estimated 115,000 Remington rifles were dispatched to Russia on the U.S. Army Transport Ship Thomas in early 1918 which landed in Vladivostok. U.S. Army soldiers forming the AEF Siberia were also on this ship as well. I ...

Re: Remington Lever Action Rifle

Gents, I was asked if Remington ever produced a tubular magazine lever action rifle in the mid-20th century. A fellow insists he has one marked “Remington Model 200”, but I believe he has a Marlin-produced “Revelation” rifle. He won’t produce a photo. Thoughts? . Here's the only one I know of. The ...

Re: Ridiculous Wood

It's not that unusual to find really nicely figured stocks on "standard" grade firearms. I have a 1971 700 ADL in 7 mm Rem Mag that has a beautifully figured stock.....and, a 1980 700 BDL in 7mm Exp. Rem with some exceptional wood. Back in those days, there weren't any synthetic stocks......they wer...

Re: Is this a model 14 or 141?

The OP meant 2020, not 1920; this is very clear from the colored Pennsylvania Game Commission badge on the page he posted. So “deductive reasoning” from the incorrect date doesn’t work here. The vehicle in the photo could be pre-1935, but that doesn’t mean the photo was taken before that date. I ca...

Re: Is this a model 14 or 141?

Pg 31 of the June 2020 Pennsylvania Game News has a picture of a hunter & deer. I think he is holding a model 14, but it could be a 141? Any opinions? Rem.JPG I believe you meant 19 20. So, with a little deductive reasoning...... Using information from the first link below: " The Remington Model 14...

Re: Model 600 350 remington magnum

Any info on this rifle would be appreciated - serial number 42585 - 18" vent rib barrel. Value? year of mfr? First link will tell you how to interpret your barrel date code. The rest are for information on the rifle and caliber. We don't attempt to guess at values on the forum. Too many variables. ...

Re: my first remington 700 trying to get some info

I’m just trying to find a general worth of the rifle. I can find info on all the features of the rifle except the DELUXE feature . So it has me curious as to how rare or if even rare this rifle may be? All the ones I can find info do not have all the features of my rifle. The rifle is in great shap...

Re: my first remington 700 trying to get some info

I have a Remington 700 SS BDL Deluxe DM in a .280 caliber. The gun was purchased in 1997 new. It’s my primary deer rifle. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me the approximate worth of this rifle? I can’t seem to find anything on the DELUXE model Nope! Without being able to inspect it, there's no way...

Re: Year of Manufacture Rem model 25

One more thing. Jim said Remington did not always produce guns in serial number order. Well the "Q" on the 25s I have listed range from 136X all the way to 10,1XX. In between I record build codes that go from December, 1922 to as late as 1934 .......tom Hi Tom. I'm not quite sure what you're saying...

Re: Old 700 Carbine?

Thanks for the input. Either way, I paid $125.00 for it when I bought it with an old steel weaver scope on it and like I said, it shoots a 1 ragged hole group at 100yds. As long as it shoots good and you got a great deal on it, that's what counts. But, I'm still of the opinion that it didn't leave ...

Re: Old 700 Carbine?

I have a 700 Remington manufactured in August of 1967 . Has the “stainless steel” stamping on barrel. The barell only measures somewhere approximately 18” long. It looks like a factory cut and crown. This rifle was a tack driver with the old Winchester 140gr Silvertips . Does anyone know if Remingt...

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. The right side of my barrel has "DD"- so does that mean September 2009?
Sounds reasonable.

Re: Remington 700 CDL .30-06

Yesterday I was at my local gunshop and noticed a model 700 on the used rack. I picked it up and noticed the fluting on the barrel. I own multiple Remington 700's and so do guys I shoot and hunt with, and I have never seen a CDL this has fluting and is a blued finish. I know Remington makes "specia...
