The rational behind the pressure point is the frequency control it produces. Barrels vibrate like tuning forks when they are fired. The pressure point raises the frequency and thus lowers the normal group size.. the real value of a free floating barrel is it's not being affected by the movement of t...

The 722 and the short action M700 where the 6mmRem is usually found are the same basic action. The 6mm and 244 were both chambered in pump rifles and likely the autos also..but I'm not sure. In any case their loading the 244/6mm light for an auto would be interesting as the 30-06, a staple in the 74...

Sirs, I have a rolling block action(a barrel stub is present) that I am looking for help identifying. It is a 32 rimfire and it seems to be a #4 but the top tang is gone. In its place there is a ledge milled on the top/rear of the action. This is undercut to provide a kind of dovetail like arrangeme...

I don't believe it was a folding stock or that it was done after market. Could it possibly have been a No.7. They used an unusual shaped butt stock and a tang sight.. This rifle looks to have had a detachable top tang installed and a modified bottom tang also. Are the No.7's equipped with bottom tan...
