Re: Rolling block with a wiping stick???
Wow! Great web sites Rudy! Lots of super info, and pics. Wish I spoke Swedish to interpret more of it. I wasn't aware that the Husqvarna Rolling Blocks were still being made that late!-Vall

Re: Rolling block with a wiping stick???
I'm a bit confused Rudy? Isn't the #4 a small framed Roller in .22 or .32 rimfire? Or is there another "#4 Danish" that I don't know about? My #4 is a little guy, not suitable for anything but .22RF. As you can see a lot smaller than my Hepburns: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/marl...

Re: Rolling block with a wiping stick???
Thanks Rudy! I've never seen the big bores, and my T33A is a steel rod.

Re: Rolling block with a wiping stick???
Rudy, I love that big old hevy barreled one there! Not too practical for carrying, but it sure has a great look to it! I'm getting ready to build up another #1 from the Sporting rifle action I just acquired. I plan to put a pretty heavy, long, .40-65 Green Mountain barrel on it. Hadn't thought of an...

Re: Rolling block with a wiping stick???
Stop please! I can't stand it! I'd just about trade off a bunch for any one of those! The Gemmer or Ballard look seems sexy but wood ramrods pick up dirt and its probably not a good idea excelpt for show. In other words, wipe the bore with a safe rod when no one is looking. :D The Hukies don...

Re: Rolling block with a wiping stick???
Hey Rudy! Nice Husqvarna rolling blocks! I also have one of the T33A rollers, and it's as good as it gets in my opinion! I love the Huskies!

Re: Model 12C NRA Target
Here's a few pictures of the 12C NRA. I added a military style sling to match pictures I found.

Mine does have the long adjustment, but it did not come with any sling.-Vall

Model 12C NRA Target
Picked up one of these today at our local gun show in extremely good condition, (90%+) with the original sights, etc. When I got home I did some checkeing (as usual after the purchase!) and the Bluebook puts these at around $1,000 or so.
Do these little 12C NRA's really get those kind of prices?

Thanks, but no thanks! I'd just as soon not spend much time at that site.Yellowhouse wrote:
All said and done, maybe we need to start a 44-77 forum over on Greybeard or for #1 Sporters anyway.

Re: RB #1 Sporter ....No Tang Markings? Please Advise
Too late now, but there are several cheap options for brass, bullets, and dies for the .44-77 SBN. I did a lot of searching when I started and found that C&H4D dies were pretty reasonable, at about $150 when I checked. But I ended up buying Lee .43 Spanish dies for about $22, and they work great...

Re: RB #1 Sporter ....No Tang Markings? Please Advise
From what I've gathered in talking to John Gyde, Roy Marcot, and a few other sources. All have agreed that the #1 Sporter was not made after the bankruptcy in 1886. I just purchased another #1 Spoorter complete action, and it also does not have any markings on the top tang, and no tang sight holes D...

Yes that is the Type 33A. It was already rechambered to .38-55 when I got it. I believe that they were originally something like 9.3x55R? Can't remember for sure.-Vall
