How about the year and value of a model 12a has the RW above the serial # and the number is 440965 great shape all origianal, been in family since the 50s. From what I have read the RW above the serial number means before 1924? 1919 on serial lsit https://www.remingtonsociety.org/serials-model-12/

Does Remington offer "factory letters" (ala Smith and Wesson) that include specifics of when and to whom a particular rifle was shipped to? What age? Old Remington records were destroyed in a fire.
